The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA)*, the private fundraising and alumni relations organization for the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a development professional to support the College of Engineering (CoE). The Director of Development will be responsible for qualifying, cultivating and soliciting major gift prospects. This position is an integral part of a highly collaborative, energetic and innovative development team for the UW-Madison College of Engineering. The College of Engineering is one of the University’s major units, with more than 4,000 students and over 40,000 alumni. Development efforts strive to involve alumni and friends in the life of the departments and College, resulting in their increased engagement and philanthropic support.
As the university prepares to exceed all goals in its $3.2 billion campaign, the college of engineering is focusing on a bold future, with more than 50,000 alumni behind them. The campaign has raised $270 million for the college, including one gift of $32 million, the largest in college history. This included $20 million to match future scholarships. In addition to that goal, the college is also embarking on a $150 million fund raising effort for a new building. These goals make it a pivotal moment in college history, cementing a legacy of philanthropy and excellence in education.
